The Kapstadt CUP is a youth football festival hosted by FC Kapstadt. The event is sanctioned by the South African Football Association. The festival which was first held in 2010 takes place on the first weekend of October every year. The home of the Kapstadt CUP is Hartleyvale Stadium in Observatory, Cape Town. However, the tournament includes multiple venues in close proximity to Hartleyvale, lik

e St.Georges Grammar School in Mowbray, Greenpoint and Athlone Stadium. The tournament competition includes three formats and nine age group catergories - Under-7 to Under-23. Youth teams from professional clubs like Mamelodi Sundowns FC, Amazulu FC, Kaizer Chiefs FC, Orlando Pirates FC, Stellenbosch FC and Cape Town Spurs FC have participated in the prestigious tournament in the past. The tournament continues to attract interest from the biggest football clubs in the world. The Kapstadt CUP is platform for social cohesion, inter-cultural experience and to inspire and develop African youth.
