Changing seasons 🍂🔥 in preparation for winter, BAC and Wild Sky Paragliding organised for spraying of tracer lines and subsequent burning... This protects the lovely Bulwer takeoff from runaway fires - last year it was just about the only patch left standing on the mountain after a runaway blaze! Thanks all involved for a winter of clean wings 💪

It wasn't all work and no play, however. The pilots were rewarded with hours of flying, beautiful clear conditions and some vultures too 🦅 every season is beautiful in KZN!

On the 9th of August the Bulwer Airsports Club invite you to join for us for an amazing Women’s Day! Our 2023 event was a huge success.

Starting at the Mountain Park Hotel, the day kicks off at 9am with an hour of yoga by Tash- a yogi local to Underberg, for R100pp 🧘🏾‍♀️, followed by a scrumptious Mountain Park Hotel brunch 🍳🧇 – cost is R95. Open to men and kids too 👍🏾

Centred, fuelled and ready to go - an adventurous hike🚶🏾‍♀️up Bulwer Mountain ⛰️ is guided by the Mahwaqa Hiking Club, viewing hidden bushman paintings 🎨 along the way. Peaks R80pp. To Bulwer launch R40pp. Start and end at the Mountain Park Hotel.

For those who are keen on taking to the skies 🪂 – a shorter hike is led by the BAC up to take-off where Wildsky Paragliding are offering 40% off tandem flights – at an unheard of price of R950 – for women only 👧🏾. Bulwer Flying Fest: Day 4 🪂 4/4 flying days - who could ask for more?! It was time to squeeze in the last few flights before the storm rolled in! Rob managed a great trip over the back, following the R617. Noleen had a beautiful flight around the peaks and Gavin boated around the north ridge before making a big-ears dash for the landing field! One scenic walk/drive down later and we were all drinking tea and eating Easter eggs, while the rain and hail pelted down outside. A perfect way to enjoy the last afternoon together!
