Today I want us to go through Article 5 of the BREEDE VALLEY LOCAL FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION STATUTES.

Article 5.2 – Transfer Fees

This article says:

-A player transfer is only valid once the official transfer certificate has been given to the player who is transferring.

-The official transfer fee is R200 for: Senior players (19 years and older). Aslo Any junior player who is playing in a senior league.

-FREE for all other junior players.

If a club claims that the player owes money (for example, unpaid membership fees, kit, or other club debts), the club must provide proof such as receipts, signed agreements, or other legal documents before they can demand payment. The article does not say that clubs may negotiate or charge higher transfer fees. Instead, it only allows clubs to recover actual money owed by the player, and even then the club must prove the debt with evidence such as receipts or signed agreements. So this thing of charging another team big amounts for a amateur player is wrong. It is the players responsibility to pay back what is due to his former club not the club that is interested in the player. Also if there's no proof then there's no agreement. Clearance fee is R200 Clubs must stop by being greedy over local players and destroying young footballers.

* Avoid posting on social media or wearing another club's colours before your transfer is officially approved.
