CONGRATULATIONS TO URLIN HENECKE

Mainstream athlete Urlin Henecke proudly represented the SA Schools Championships U/19, held in Pretoria from 30 April 2026 to 02 May 2026.

Competing against the nation’s best, Urlin delivered outstanding performances:
- 100m – 5th Place
- 200m – 4th Place
- Relay – Silver Medal

Your speed, determination, and fighting spirit on the track embody the true values of athletics. Reaching two individual finals and bringing home relay silver is a testament to your dedication, discipline, and relentless work ethic.

BAIE GELUK AAN URLIN HENECKE

Mainstream-atleet Urlin Henecke het met trots deelgeneem aan die SA Skole Kampioenskappe O/19, gehou in Pretoria vanaf 30 April tot 02 Mei 2026.

In kompetisie teen die land se bestes het Urlin uitstekend presteer:
- 100m – 5de Plek
- 200m – 4de Plek
- Aflos – Silwermedalje

Jou spoed, vasberadenheid en veggees op die baan beliggaam die ware waardes van atletiek. Om twee individuele eindrondes te haal en met aflos-silwer huis toe te kom, is ’n bewys van jou toewyding, dissipline en onvermoeide werkywer.

Bredasdorp Atletiekklub is ontsaglik trots op jou, Urlin. Dankie dat jy ons vlag hoog laat wapper het in Pretoria. Ons sien uit om jou reis verder te volg.

Met ’n uitsonderlike dubbele prestasie in die 1500m én 5000m in Preotria, het jy weereens bewys dat uitnemendheid die vrug is van toewyding, dissipline en onwrikbare deursettingsvermoë.

Hierdie prestasie is nie bloot ’n weerspieëling van jou uitsonderlike talent nie, maar ook van die ontelbare ure se harde werk, opoffering en volharding wat jy, saam met Coach Gavin, ingesit het.

What an honor!

On Friday, 3 April 2026, Bredasdorp Athletics Club welcomed Comrades legend Bruce Fordyce and his wife Jill at the Bredasdorp Glaskasteel Community Hall.

During his visit, Bruce shared insights about his book "winged messenger" as well as the beginning of his Comrades Marathon Journey.

On Saturday, 4 April 2026, he joined the Bredasdorp parkrun in our New official running shirt.

We were delighted to host Bruce and his wife.
