👨‍👧‍👦 A Father's Day "Did you know"?

Many young parkrunners discovered their love for movement because a dad, grandfather, or father figure brought them along to parkrun one Saturday morning.
What may have started as a simple walk, jog, volunteer role, or family outing often became something much bigger — a lifelong love of being active, spending time outdoors, and being part of a community.

On Father's Day, this Sunday, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, and role models who lace up their shoes, lead by example, and inspire the next generation to take that first step.

Sometimes the greatest gift a father figure can give isn't advice — it's simply showing up.

💚 Happy Father's Day to all the father figures who have helped create parkrun memories, one Saturday at a time.
