Well done to our Kearsney Striders who ran in the SAPS Striders 10km & 21km Heritage Challenge.

A very special mention to our Junior (ladies) Julia Cameron for coming 1st in her very first 21km with a time of 2:06:38 and Belinda Padbury Open (ladies) for coming 1st in her 10km (walk) with a time of 1:00:22.

In Loving Memory of Liz Chelin.

Kearsney Striders Athletics Club remembers Liz Chelin — an amazing runner, a courageous fighter and a truly inspirational woman.

Liz faced her battle with cancer with the same strength, determination and bravery that she brought to every kilometre she ran. Those fortunate enough to run alongside her will remember the laughter, friendship, encouragement and unforgettable spirit she shared.

Her final finish line has been reached, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and in every runner who keeps putting one foot in front of the other.

Deepest condolences to JP & family, as well as her Hillcrest Villagers “family”.
