- Team entrusted the protection of our feet for the Pondo Ultra 100 run to AR Gaiters, who designed the super funky, stunning, and effective gaiters that covered our shoes to keep the harsh, abrasive beach sand out of them. What an incredible success! 🙌
The gaiters weathered the pouring rain for the first 10 hours, took us through roaring rivers, carried us up into the Pondoland hills, through forests and grazing land and rocky coastline and open beach, through mud and slush and cow dung 🐂💩, all the way to the finish line. 🏆
The Desert Gaiters design attaches along the sole of your shoe and does such an incredible job at keeping sand out of them - although it was unexpectedly more mud than sand, due to the somewhat extreme weather conditions! 🌨️☂️
