That Time Again

Today’s post is dedicated to Lehlohonolo Masili, better known as “Bobby” a true example of what passion, commitment, and heart can achieve.

Bobby joined the club during the 2026 preseason, but his journey started long before he ever wore the jersey. For about a week straight, the coaches and players noticed a young man arriving at the field on his own, setting up cones, doing drills, and practicing with a rugby ball. Quietly working in the background while the team trained.

One of the coaches eventually approached him and asked why he didn’t join the club since he was always around. His response was simple:
“I know absolutely nothing about rugby, but I’m fascinated by the sport.”

And he meant it. At the time, Bobby lacked even the basic fundamentals of the game passing, positioning, running lines, ball handling, defensive structure but what he lacked in experience, he made up for with determination and eagerness to learn.

From that day forward, Bobby showed up to every single training session ready to improve. He listened, worked hard, asked questions, and embraced the process with humility and passion. Week after week, the improvement started showing. Confidence grew, skills developed, and his understanding of the game became better with every session.

His introduction to game time came gradually, earning a few minutes here and there, but his enthusiasm never changed. Whether it was training or match day, Bobby was always excited to kit up, step onto the field, and give everything for the badge.

The club appreciates your commitment, your positive spirit, and the energy you bring to the team environment. Your story is proof that passion, consistency, and the willingness to learn can take you further than talent alone.

Keep growing, keep learning, and keep inspiring.
Once a curious spectator… now part of the family. 💙🏉
