Your ride is only as good and as comfortable as the points where you connect to the bike.
In the SQlab Lab, we fine-tune every detail of our grips and how your hand meets the bar: pressure zones, angles, support, and vibration.
The result: grips that are shaped, sized, and tuned to fit your hand like they belong there. Built for real riding hours — for more control, more comfort, and a cockpit that simply feels right.

Myth: less material, less pressure.
Truth? A cut-out doesn’t magically fix it; it simply moves the pressure somewhere else.
In the SQlab Lab, comfort + performance don't happen by accident, they’re engineered: the right saddle width, shape, your riding position, and a clean pressure distribution (measured with pressure mapping).
So, cut-out or no cut-out?
The truth is cut-out saddles can shift the pressure to the edges, exactly where you don't want it. The goal is stable support on your sit bones, while taking load off sensitive areas.
That’s why SQlab saddles are carefully designed to distribute pressure exactly where it belongs and take it away from sensitive areas.
Because everybody is different: always start by measuring your sit bones to find your individual saddle width.
Send this to the friend who swears by cut-outs… but still can’t ride pain-free.

When it comes to bikefitting, even the smallest adjustment can transform your ride.

Shims, wedges and extender plates may look minor, but when used correctly they can make a huge difference to comfort, power and stability.

From correcting leg-length differences to improving alignment and smoothing out your pedal stroke - it all starts at the foot–pedal interface.

Saddle pressure mapping is used to improve cycling comfort, prevent injuries, and optimize performance
by showing exactly how weight and force are distributed across the saddle.
It helps riders and bike fitters identify pressure hot spots, asymmetries, and inefficiencies that traditional fitting methods often miss.

In the SQlab Lab we measure where pressure really builds up, and build saddles around real data
→ The result: the step saddle concept, based on more than 20 years of ergonomic research and biomechanical studies.
Here’s the idea behind it:
💡 The “step” + raised rear helps keep you supported from behind and stabilizes your position, so pressure is carried more consistently by the sit bones.
💡 The lower nose + central “dip” creates relief for sensitive soft tissue, especially in the p***c arch & perineal area.
💡 That combination aims for a cleaner load path through the body: more stability, fewer pressure peaks, less distraction on long rides.
Our studies show up to 85% less pressure on the p***c arch & perineal area.
And yes ,that’s something you can actually see on a pressure map.
But, also width matters: If the saddle doesn’t match your sit bone distance, the best concept can’t do its job ➡️ always measure before you choose your saddle (the free measurement kit): https://gpm-sports.co.za/cube/sq-lab/family-friends-sitbone-measurement-set.html

710 2.0 grips: comfort you can actually measure (and feel).
The first grip that grows in 3 dimensions (S / M / L): circumference + length + wing size — so your hand sits natural and not forced.
Why it matters:
✅ Ergo wing = targeted relief for ulnar nerve / carpal tunnel (less numbness in your fingers on long rides)
✅ Ergobar + raised outer edge = defined hand position + more control
✅ Lamella thumb zone + shock-absorbing TPE = vibration damping where pressure usually builds
✅ Grippy underside = secure hold, even when it’s wet or rough

Now available in 5 sizes, 13-17cm effective width:
SQ Lab 611 Infinergy® ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 ClipOn

Instead of traditional PU foam, the 611 uses BASF’s Infinergy®, known from running shoes. It’s highly resilient and offers excellent shock absorption – especially useful when riding off-road.

The cover isn’t fully bonded, but precisely fixed with strategically placed tapes – no glue involved. The foam and cover fuse directly, thanks to a manufacturing process developed in Germany
