German legend Uwe Seeler was one of the first footballers to ever wear custom-made Adidas boots?

Back in the 1965, Seeler struggled with discomfort due to his tendon injury. Adidas founder Adi Dassler personally stepped in to measure and craft special football boots just for him that would alleviate the strain on his weakened tendon. The adaption and innovation of this football boot helped Seeler perform at his peak again on the pitch.

This moment kicked off a tradition of personalized football boots for top players, a practice that lives on today with stars like Bellingham and Messi.
