Sporting CP Academy Bedfordview

Sporting CP Academy Bedfordview Sporting Clube de Portugal is a youth soccer academy based at Reddam House in Bedfordview. Sporting CP Academy is also a community oriented club.

The academy is certified by Sporting CP in Portugal as one of its youth soccer academies in South Africa being an extension of the academy in Alcochete-Portugal,

The project contemplates not only the commercial side but also the development of young players “the Sporting way” and scouting soccer talent in South Africa. Our Academy trains players who’s ethnicity covers all areas of the globe and

our focus at Sporting CP Academies is to develop South African young players inside and outside of the field where we hope to help parents in their education through soccer. Our belief is that towards becoming better players youngsters must also grow as people and vice-versa. Using this philosophy it has allowed us to scout and develop youngsters that will have the opportunity to train at our mother Academy where they will be assessed be the clubs youth team coaches. Hopefully some will follow the footsteps of other graduates form Sporting CP Academies that are now playing for the Sporting CP youth and professional team as well as the Portuguese and English national teams currently competing on the Euro 2016. Its our goal to get involved with organizations and associations in our area to ensure that our projects embraces the less privileged giving them education through football but also the opportunity to showcase their talent.

Our motto is “effort, dedication, devotion and glory” and we must always pursue it respecting the meaning of “Sporting”, showing fairness and respect towards teammates, opposition and referees, regardless of the final score

This is our biggest responsibility and the most important gift we can give to our “players”, educating them through football
