Hello Everyone,

​We are excited to have you this weekend for the Maxed Elite running club Comrades training run.

​Please take note of important changes and details below:

​Date: 16 May 2026

​Location: no longer Greenstone mall - the run will be starting and ending Victoria Sports Ground - opposite the Lombardy East Methodist Church on the corner of Queen Alexandra and Wellington Road in Lombardy East

​Registration: registration for run starts at 5AM - 5:45AM - collect your wristband based on your selected distance

​Start time: run starts at 6AM

​Distances: 10km, 21km, 30km, 40km - you have selected this already upon registration

​Water tables: the route is a loop and so there will be a finish line water table as well as three stocked water tables en route with water, coke, crème soda, bananas, oranges and 32Gi

​Finish: each registered finisher will receive a Thirsti sport and Mr Price Sport Voucher to shop in store and Mr Price Sport only

​Non-registered runners will only be given wristbands if any are available at start time otherwise they do not qualify for vouchers and freebies at the end.

It is confirmed champions, the struggle is on..forward we go 🏃🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏿‍♂️

The official distance for the 99th Comrades Marathon Up Run (Durban to Pietermaritzburg) on Sunday, 14 June 2026 has been confirmed as 85.777km — making it the shortest Up Run in recent history!

Route adjustments due to ongoing roadworks, including the Umlaas Road cut-through and changes to the finish at Scottsville, have helped shape a slightly shorter and more efficient course — while also improving safety and race-day operations.

🔥 With a faster route and exciting performance incentives, record-breaking runs could be on the cards once again! 💥

💪 Runners, the final stretch of preparation is here! Stay focused, trust your training, and keep showing up — every run, every kilometre counts. The work is almost done… now is the time to sharpen, believe, and get race ready.

Another long weekend means another busy time for runners 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏃🏿‍♂️, ku busy, ku shushu, ku tricky , ku wooow

Some will be doing long runs, some will be in Durban running the Durban international marathon. In Gauteng we have MiWay marathon and MNS carnival city marathon, it is choose maykhethela. Other runners will be in Limpopo running the polokwane city marathon. In Bloemfontein we have Limo mall marathon 🏃🏿‍♂️🏃🏃🏾‍♀️we are spoiled for choices champions .
