Hey Fitters🏃🏻‍♂️📢
20 September 2025!

The Fitters had a successful outing at the Significance Race hosted by the Christian Family Church (CFC) in Boksburg. The event featured a 5km and 10km run/walk and served as a fundraiser for Amcare, an organisation that assists vulnerable individuals.

Results highlight:
Michaela: Earned the second-place female spot overall in the race.
Tracy: Finished first in the walker category.
Claudette: Secured second place in her age category.
Roy: Also earned a first-place finish at his age category

Hey Fitters 👋

Since June, we’ve been on our Parkrun Challenge – running and traveling to different parkrun spots. So far, we’ve completed:
✅ Victoria Lake
✅ Bezuidenhout
✅ Gilloolys

📍 Final Stop: Homestead parkrun near Paul & Jenny’s place (date to be announced) 🎉

🎟️ For each event you run, you’ll earn 1 ticket into the lucky draw for a pair of Asics shoes worth R4000! 👟 The big draw will take place at our Christmas Party after the final parkrun.

On the 23rd of August, we had our Interlude Run and what an amazing day it was! 🎉

Join us for the Inter-Club Long Run on Saturday, 23 August – everyone is welcome, even if you’re not part of a club!

We’re calling on all Greenstone, Nedbank Modderfontein, Rand Road Warriors, Bedfordview, Jeppe, and Fit2000 runners to come together for an epic morning of running and vibes.

📍 Location: Plato, Bedfordview

20km – 5:30 AM

5km, 10km & 15km – 6:00 AM

22 June Recap: Aches and Pains Celebration 🎉

On 22 June, the club hosted an Aches and Pains event to honour our incredible Fitters who took on the Comrades Marathon. It was a time to relax, celebrate, and enjoy a friendly game of bowls together.

We’re still so proud of each and every one of you who ran this iconic race! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💪 Here’s to healing legs, big smiles, and even bigger dreams.

Let’s keep the momentum going next year, we’re aiming for more than 6 runners flying the Fit2000 flag at Comrades! 🖤💛
