In 2022, My Creative Agency conducted a schools-sports research study across Dikgatlong, and the results were a wake-up call — Netball was slowly fading away in most schools. This decline is more than just the loss of a sport; it’s the loss of an opportunity for young girls to discover their potential, build confidence, and grow into disciplined, empowered leaders.
Now more than ever, we must protect this sport, reintroduce it in our schools, and create pathways that help young athletes become the next generation of elite Netball players. Youth Netball teaches teamwork, respect, resilience, and responsibility — values that shape not only great athletes but strong members of society.
When we invest in youth Netball, we invest in safer communities, positive development, and a brighter future for our children.
Let’s rebuild, uplift, and ensure that Netball remains a cornerstone of growth in Dikgatlong and beyond. 🏐
