It is clear, to him it is not about SAFA.net - South African Football Association. It's about Danny Jordaan. It has always been. If it was about SAFA, the man would take special leave on his own and appoint someone to act in his position (a less humiliating initiative). That person would also fulfill international duties as well and the business of SAFA would continue without any hindrance.

Straightforward, simple, and to the point explanation.

The linked video has references.

We have been saying that there is a dysfunction at the SAFA NEC. We are still saying that. This particular case that Danny Jordaan is facing is pointing to this dysfunction in many ways. That is, incurring expenditure on behalf of the organisation without the necessary approvals.

The sad part of the dysfunction of the highest structure is that it implicitly creates a precedence that is now being followed by PECs, RECs, and LECs. These are things that happen and are viewed as normal in these structures. It is now psychologically embedded in the minds of those who perpetrate these shananigans. Its pandemic.

Football-loving people, let us stand up and protect our football.

1. Societies, hold football clubs at all levels accountable.
2. Football clubs, hold your LFAs accountable,
3. LFAs, hold regions accountable,
4. Regions, hold SAFA NEC accountable.

At the moment, the chain of accountability is broken in all interfaces, but we can fix that, if we all put together, guided by the statutes and other prescipts.

LFAs, Regions, and Provinces, establish functional and independant Ethics Committees capacitated by strong and selfless men and women who put the country and football first. Establish independant processes, procedures and systems for the lodging of corruption and related incidents by the leaderships of the associations at those levels, and get leadership that will adhere to the recommendations of these Ethics Committees and implement without fear nor favour. Without this, we clearly do not have football structures, and consequently, the sole and conscience of our football is practically dead.

By saying this, we are not saying that Danny Jordaan is guilty. He will still argue his case in court and the facts will be on the table. We wish him strength in his defense, but do condone what he is being accused of.

We also wish the NEC can come out with a pro-South Africa and pro-Football statement regarding this case. We have seen NEC's statements in the past that wre always pro-Accused, which was highly inappropriate. This is part of the dysfunction that we talk about.

For the love of football.

SAFOCA Urges Collaboration for Zero-Tolerance Match-Fixing Policy.

The South African Football Clubs Association (SAFOCA) calls upon SAFA referees to join forces in combating match-fixing. We emphasize that eradicating this scourge requires collective responsibility.

SAFOCA appeals to referees to:

1. Resist club approaches for match-fixing
2. Report any suspicious activities
3. Uphold FIFA Fair Play principles

We are aware of instances where referees contact teams after appointments, undermining fair play. SAFOCA will:

1. Monitor and address such incidents swiftly
2. Collaborate with SAFA and FIFA to ensure accountability

Match-fixing thrives on complicity. We need:

1. Coaches to promote fair play
2. Referees to remain impartial
3. Clubs to reject match-fixing
4. Fans to demand integrity

Together, let's safeguard football's dignity and ensure a fair season.
