Most guys say they want a “real” bear hunt
until they realize what that actually means.

This isn’t sitting in a stand scrolling your phone, waiting on a bear to wander into a bait pile.

This is cutting a fresh track at daylight in the North Maine Woods

Turning loose a pack of hounds

And listening as the woods absolutely come alive.

You’ll know real quick what you signed up for.

Because when those dogs strike and the race is on, it’s not controlled. It’s not predictable. It’s raw, fast, and happening whether you’re ready or not.

You’ll be moving.
You’ll be breathing hard.
You’ll be trying to keep up while a mature boar - one that’s dodged hunters for years - tries one more time to slip away.

And when it finally comes together

When you’re standing there with your guide, heart still pounding, listening to those hounds

There are hunts you go on. And then there are hunts that stay with you.

West Texas Aoudad is the second kind.

Mesas rising out of the desert. Canyons that swallow sound. Long glassing sessions and longer shots. It's the closest thing to a true Western sheep hunt most guys will ever get...and it's right here in Texas.
