✌️ some days we can all do with a little more inner tranquility and harmony, particularly as we approach the silly season and hyper tasking takes on a whole new meaning as we rush to the finish line of 2025, making sure nothing goes unchecked..

Sharing meaningful, mindful and meditative movement this evening.. aka- yoga, body awareness and an opportunity to refine your relationship with your body and your breathing and in turn practicing overcoming the disturbances from yourself, others and your environment, so potentially you can feel a little more inner peace.. 6:00 pm Wynyard Citzens hall 🙏

.. I remember one of things in yoga training was checking in and Choosing your why??
Why do we do the things we do??

Knowing the why is important as we can spend considerable time doing things we possibly shouldn’t, so It acts as a compass and guides you back to what truly is.
For me there is nothing like skiing and bush walking NZ South Island for the last few weeks to remind me why I choose yoga, mobility, strengthening and mindful movement .. it's definitely important if we want to keep mobile and moving.. because it's declining movement and stillness that ages us truly and creates stagnation in our body, I don’t think we can blame age fully, 🤔

On top of that, create a life that you continue to be interested in and one that encourages you to stay creative & active, because it’s way to easy to stay stagnant today, leading to weakness and fragility in the body and the mind.
And those involuntary noises we make getting off the floor or out of a chair only get louder.. 🫣I’m not talking about flatulence either, I’m talking about the sighs, grunts and groans that come out of our mouths. 😮‍💨

For some it’s a nervous system intervention, or a strategy to help restore balance to your nervous system, assisting to regulate the stress response and encourage a sense of calm. 🙏
