Being a parent certainly is difficult, we DO need to BE KIND to ourselves though xx

Why am I finding this so difficult? We talk about this at 4th Trimester in various ways each week - so much of our thinking about ourselves is socially conditioned and inaccurate.

It IS difficult to parent in the society we find ourselves in; it is very far from the biological baseline that has not changed much at all despite the huge advances in technology.

Be kind to yourself.

Hi everyone,
It is with a heavy heart that I will be stopping running Sling Swing at the end of this term.

Sadly the average numbers I’m getting does not make it viable to continue and even though I love love love dancing with you and watching you bond with your babies, I can no longer justify the hours away from family and costs.

I will be finishing with a 🎃spooky week for wc 18 October and would love to see as many of you there as possible! 👻Halloween dress up is encouraged (but also fine without!), we'll be dancing to thriller,bad moon rising,bang bang and more!

Thank you for your support, indoors/outdoors and online! Wishing all of you a fabulous journey with your little ones and hope to keep in touch!

I'll keep this page open so hopefully can meet for a walk/cake again in the future!

We often feel we have that laundry list (literally laundry) of tasks that we must finish in order to feel “accomplished” and “adequate” as mothers. ⁣
Somehow our most important job, raising our babies, has somehow become “not enough.”⁣

But raising a child, or a few, in itself, is a job. ⁣

was make sure that your babies were taken care of- then you did it. ⁣
You accomplished your job. ⁣
You are adequate as a mother, whether you finished your “bonus tasks” or not. ⁣
