Clevedon Life Member Bev Bower has passed away today after a long battle with her health, she was a great member of the club over many years, always prepared to help out and shot well over the years. Was a member of many club teams, Association Teams, NZ Ladies and NZ Veterans. There was always competion every club shooting day for who paid for the ice cream at the Clevedon Diary after shooting on the way home. Our Condolences to Steve and the family, will advise arrangements once known. RIP Bev, you are first down on Saturday on the rifle range in the sky.

We finally shot for the Rewi Sheild today after a pervious rain postponement, 500 and 600 yards were shot in interesting winds but fine and sunny, winter is fast approaching. There was 190mm on Thursday and Friday with a big wet front passing over NZ, luckily it had dried out enough for us to shoot, but had to walk to the butts and to wet in bottom paddock for cars. Top scorers were Liza from Akarana with -6, on countback from Willie and from Clevedon Chris was -3 and very happy with his shooting. Clevedon won the Rewi Shield with -4.5 to Akarana-City -14.3, a great day on the range.

26/04/2025

Shooting at Cashmore range for the Rewi Shield is postponed until 11th May, weather is rubbish today.
