It's a common misunderstanding, he said. They conclude there was no race. As long as we won't commit to knowing everything, the presumption is we know nothing.”

This month’s Book Club read is for an Über Moms Pause for a Cause. Every quarter we read a book on a social issue. This months PFC is Environmental Awareness. We’re reading Fight Behavior written by .kingsolver. Book Club thread is buzzing— some of the moms find it hilarious, while others find it difficult to relate to the protagonist. The important part is, getting the conversation started surrounding climate change. And of course, finding a MOMent in every day to relax with a book.

To have a MOMent —a moment in time centered on your well being.

To take uninterrupted mental breaks…

Mom, you are magic, but you don’t have to make miracles happen. Your family also enjoys seeing and spending time with you during the holiday break.

Order take out, leave the mess and get in the photo. You belong in the same time as your family and don’t have to celebrate from a distance.

Let’s normalize moms needing a break and support during the holiday season.

A key part of diversity and inclusion is to ensure inclusivity for le***an, gay, bi, transgender, intersex, q***r (LGBTIQ) families. Let’s reflect on the importance of equal opportunities within parenthood and the important role of raising awareness to diversity and inclusion among our children. We’ll talk about —gender bias, how to talk to the kids about race and sex—we’re reading, being active and providing resources—of course celebrating the beautiful array of ways that we are all unique. Happy Food Friday Über Moms

Flower Power?

We all know that lavender has been noted to have calming effects. Hey, who knows, it just may cure a lot of ailments.

Lavender is certainly calming and helps induce sleep, but most moms can attest that it just takes 5 minutes of stillness to induce a mommy disco nap.

We love lavender homeopathic and holistic alternatives—we just wouldn’t like to promote magic remedies for mental health.

There have been studies…

“Studies have found that ingesting lavender on a regular basis can decrease anxiety by 20% in stressful situations. All the more reason to eat it right?”

We’re not certain it will help with anxiety, but what most definitely will help calm your soul, is not attempting to restrict dietary habits.

Enjoy the summer breeze, sticky fingers and memories. We encourage healthy and conscious eating habits, but sometimes that means having an ice cream with the kids.

Today is Workout Wednesday. Our immediate response was that we should post a workout focusing on mental health. We concluded that rest also plays a big role on Mental Health Recovery, as do medications and therapy. This is your daily reminder that there is no one size fits all blueprint to mental health. Your recovery, maintenance and well-being will most likely benefit from various forms of exercise, whether it be mental or physical—or medical intervention. We’d like to remind mothers, that it’s okay to rest. Actually, it’s more than okay, it’s encouraged. Don’t think of rest days purely as a form of physical therapy. Add a mental health rest day in the calendar to improve your mental health habits. That is —whatever you consider restful. 🧘🏽‍♀️Check out more resources in our stories and bio. ✌🏽Remember Rest is Best
