We’re open throughout the rest of 2026! 📢

We’ve got an important update for our MyActive Cheadle community.

MyActive Cheadle will remain OPEN for the rest of 2026, while Staffordshire Moorlands District Council takes some additional time to review the exciting refurbishment plans for the centre.

So for now, it’s very much business as usual.

You can keep visiting, keep booking and keep moving with us right through to the end of December.

Earlier this year, lots of you shared your views on proposals for the future of the centre, including plans for:

🏋️ A new fitness suite
🚴 An immersive indoor cycling studio
🙌 A large additional group exercise studio
🏸 A fully refurbished sports hall
💙 A new Active Wellbeing Suite
🏊 Refurbished wet and dry changing facilities

Thank you to everyone who took the time to have their say.

The Council is now taking some additional time to consider that feedback before deciding the next steps.

In the meantime, our Cheadle team will be here to give you the same warm welcome as always. And keep your eyes peeled because we’ve got some special offers coming your way too 👀

We’ll share further updates as soon as more information about the refurbishment timetable is confirmed.

Olympic swimmer Abbie Wood officially opened the doors to the new MyActive Leek on Tuesday 15th September 🏊‍♀️🙌

The Team GB swimmer joined representatives from MyActive, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, partners and members of the local community to celebrate the opening of the new centre at Brough Park.
