The Charity Cup, on Monday evening, was a great event filled with exciting clashes and unexpected out-comes.
There were only 2 Premiership teams left in the Quarter Finals and for the first time none made it through to the Semi finals.
In the Semis, 1st div Real Bollox knocked out 2nd div Sao Paulo and 1st div Pathetic Bilbao knocked out 1st div Cripple Palace. This left, for the very first time ever, two 1st div teams in the finals.
The thrilling game ended with a two all draw, so on to penalties. And the winners with a straight three penalty goals were Real Bollox, unlucky Pathetic Bilbao were close with two.
Huge thanks to Maroochydore FC for the pitches and the smiling faces behind the bar. Big hugs to the hardworking, efficient sausage chefs, Julie, Lisa and Rachel. And lastly a big round of applause to the Committee, a great team that worked hard to ensure the night ran smoothly.

The Sunshine Coast Supa Oldies Women’s Committee are contacting you to inform those teams who play locally, about our Tuesday night Six a Side competition, played at Maroochydore Football Club.

Our mid-week ladies competition has just completed it’s first season and Season 2 will commence mid September. We are looking to continue to grow this mid-week competition and hopefully, some of your team members are keen to join us, in the lead up to this year’s tournament.

All games are on Tuesday nights at Maroochydore Football Club with games played on half field and 20 minute halves. The format is Six-a-Side including goalkeeper with a minimum of 9 per team & maximum 12 per team (we can assist in filling in teams or merging half teams if needed). The competition runs all year round and is similar to the men’s competition on Monday nights with an extended break for December/January.

We are thrilled to see the growth in women’s division in both our annual tournament and mid-week competition.
