Dawn Within - Daily morning devotion to body, breath and being. We’re being summoned by the world itself to make urgent changes to the human project. Most central is a fundamental re-visioning and reshaping of ourselves, a shift in consciousness and a realigning to the
Earth, her seasons and cycles.

The smallest promises are often the most powerful.

We often think healing arrives in the grand gestures.

The breakthrough.
The retreat.
The life-changing decision.

But the body rarely changes through one monumental moment.

It changes through repetition.

Through the quiet moments where you choose yourself again and again.

The glass of water before the coffee.
The meal you don’t skip.
The walk at lunchtime.
Five minutes of movement.
One conscious breath before reacting.
Turning towards yourself instead of away.

These aren’t simply healthy habits.

They are conversations with your nervous system.

Each one whispers,
“You matter.”
“I’m listening.”
“I’m here now.”

Over time, these small moments become something much bigger.

Not because they make you more productive.
Not because they make you more disciplined.

But because they rebuild one of the most important relationships you’ll ever have…

The one between you and your own body.

Healing isn’t always about becoming someone new.

Sometimes it’s about becoming someone your body finally learns it can trust.

And that trust is built one small promise at a time.

🤍 What is one small promise you can make to yourself today?

One of the quietest tragedies in the animal world is how often value gets mistaken for love.

A horse is valued because they can be ridden.

A dog is valued because they are obedient.

A cow is valued because she produces.

A person is valued because they perform.

And because value and love often arrive together, we can begin to confuse them.

We start believing that being useful is what makes us worthy of care.

But they are not the same thing.

Value depends on what you do.

Love depends on who you are.

An old horse who can no longer carry a rider has lost usefulness.

They have not lost worth.

A dog who becomes sick has lost abilities.

They have not lost worth.

A human who can no longer work, produce, achieve, or contribute in the ways they once did has not become less deserving of love.

And neither has any other living being.

I think this is one of the hardest lessons for humans to learn.

Because our culture rewards usefulness.

Measures productivity.

Celebrates achievement.

But life itself seems to operate by a different set of rules.

A newborn foal is loved before they accomplish anything.

A mother horse does not ask her baby to prove their value.

The sunrise does not earn its beauty.

The old oak tree does not justify its existence.

The whale crossing an ocean is not trying to become worthy.

It already is.

Perhaps the deepest shift we can make is learning to see living beings not as resources, tools, assets, performers, or investments.

But as fellow travelers.

Each carrying a life that matters to them as much as ours matters to us.

And perhaps real compassion begins the moment we stop asking:

“What is this being worth?”

And start asking:

“What is it like to be them?”

Because a life does not become sacred when it becomes useful.

It was sacred all along.

Dear Body

I haven’t always known how to listen.

There were times I hurried you.
Times I expected more than I gave.
Times I mistook pushing for strength and silence for resilience.

Yet through it all,
you never stopped carrying me.

You breathed for me.
You held me.
You adapted.
You found a way, even when I didn’t know how.

Now I’m learning a different way.

To slow down.

To notice the quiet language you speak—
the tightness,
the fatigue,
the warmth,
the breath that catches,
the gentle whispers asking for rest instead of resistance.

I’m learning that your wisdom doesn’t live only in my thoughts.
It lives in sensation.
In movement.
In rhythm.
In every beat of my heart and every breath I take.

I see now that you’ve held every joy,
every grief,
every fear,
every moment that shaped me.

And I’m no longer meeting you as something to change.

I’m meeting you as my oldest companion.
My greatest teacher.
My way home.

Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for never giving up on me.

I’m here now.

I’m listening.

Our most powerful source remains written in our flesh and bones. We have undervalued the wisdom of our bodies and we have forgotten how it speaks to us and the language it uses. It’s time to find value in meeting our body in ways that connect both the mind, body, spirit through dance and mindfulness practise.

Our bodies invite us to be alive, alert and aware - to be grounded and to live our lives from a space of the body’s innate intelligence and wisdom.
I am opening up the container for a beautiful morning practise of slow intentional movement and deep reflection from 5.30am - 6.15am daily, Monday to Friday for anyone who wants to meet themselves in a beautiful warm and inviting space. Send me a DM if you are interested in joining!

Presence & Spaciousness
Spaciousness is what becomes available when the body no longer has to hold so much. So much of what we carry isn't just in our minds, it's in our bodies.

The tight jaw, the guarded heart, the belly that never quite relaxes, the feeling of always being on alert, preparing for what's next. Through breath, somatic awareness, movement, dance, stillness and reflection, we'll explore the places within us that have tightened, braced, frozen or held back.

This is an invitation for those who are ready to soften, reconnect and experience the body not as a place of survival, but as a place of safety, aliveness and truth.

Presence & Spaciousness Spaciousness is what becomes available when the body no longer has to hold so much. So much of what we carry isn't just in our minds,

Although you passed five years ago, you are still teaching me about love. When you came into my world, you taught me how to open my heart and love without limits without barriers and unconditionally. And as I say, goodbye to you and set you free today on the 16.6.26 you are still teaching me how to let go, how to surrender and how to find peace in love. I miss you every day and today I set your ashes free in the ocean that you so deeply loved. I remember your little body bouncing along the shoreline with so much joy and happiness and I release you back to the wind, to the ocean, the the earth and to the sky. I let go of the guilt and the fear and the hopelessness that is intertwined in our story at the end when we had to part and I replace it with freedom and wisdom and the deepest love I’ve ever felt. I honour that with all my being, I carry that in my heart always. Farewell my teacher, my god, my friend and my mirror. You will always have my heart dear Olive. I’ll keep doing you proud as I walk forward opening my heart wider and always being guided by kindness and love. The way you existed in this world so open and gentle, so loving, was the guide I needed, thank you my friend.
