Very thankful that we have air conditioning at our venue. The hot summer temperatures have allowed us to train normally and enjoy our new mats!

Been a good couple of weeks, welcoming two new students to the mats.

Plus congratulations to Raj on passing his BAB Coaching level 1 🥋

Nice article on Aikido and how it's possible to continue training and learning well into retirement age.

We've been thankful for air-conditioning in this hot weather!

Without it Raj and Danny would probably not have ended last week's session with a run of Tanto Tori, knife-taking, in free practice.

The end of the night's practice, and we decided to attack each other with a wooden Tanto and see what defenses came into our head so no choreography, just free-practice 😃

It has been very rewarding to welcome new students onto the mats again. Have met some really nice people and very happy that some have decided to join the club.

Keeps training interesting and newcomers bring a different perspective and their own martial arts experience to our practice.

We added a page about our journey through the pandemic, the lows and the highs.

We think we might have been one of the first Aikido clubs in the world to start virtual training!

There was only one night we didn't train and that was the night Boris announced the first lock down.

We hope this will inspire other clubs in any activity to find ways to use the virtual world in training.

The Covid19 situation has not been an easy time for any of us and like almost all walks of life, sporting activity and Aikido is no exception, particularly due to the contact and close proximity required for training.

Been updating the website now we are back to regular contact training againwww.epsom-aikido.co.uk
