The Lanzarote International Regatta (LIR) is now officially a World Sailing graded event 🏆
We’re proud to share that World Sailing has awarded the LIR a Grade 50 - a recognition that underlines the quality and international level of this event.

✨ We’re incredibly excited and motivated to make this edition another world-class regatta, together with all sailors, coaches and teams who make this event so special.

We are incredibly happy and excited to announce that Marina Rubicón in Lanzarote has been chosen as the host venue for the 2027 Optimist World Championship.

This is an honour and a dream come true for all of us. Years of hard work, dedication, and passion have brought us to this unforgettable moment. Our team, which is like a family, is thrilled to take on this amazing challenge.

We want to thank everyone who has supported and helped us along the way – all the sailors, coaches, and institutions who have shaped the Sailing Center at Marina Rubicón into what it is today. Thanks for sharing this amazing journey with us!

We can’t wait to welcome you all to Lanzarote in 2027!!
