Lexi found her first shed! We were walking along a creek scouting for ducks when I looked over and saw Lexi sniffing something. I walked over to take a closer look and saw she had found this nice 10 point shed. It was so fresh there was still bright red blood on the base.

I never trained Lexi for shed hunting so you better believe I praised her up after finding this one. Might have to do a little shed hunting this spring.

Afterwards I did a photoshoot of the happy little hunter pup.

My wife is a catch! And she knows how to catch. Not bad for her first time ice fishing!

Pinners! We don't get them often here in Colorado so it is special when we do.

Words don't do this past weekend justice but we'll give it a go. It's become an annual tradition on opening weekend to bring out the girlfriends, fiances and wives. This year was especially special because 2 of these special ladies chose to carry a gun this year. We set out Saturday morning in hopes of getting them their first ducks and giving them a positive experience that will make them want to come back for more. Well, it's fair to say that when the gun smoke settled we had accomplished our mission and made some great memories for all involved. Hard work ✅ Memories made ✅ New hunters afield ✅ Food for the table ✅

Hey y'all in case you didn't know, Logan with is a frickin' maniac! He is a selfless, fearless, mountain goat, hunting machine and an absolute killer. Not to mention a great frickin' friend. Logan took me out and showed me the ropes on September elk hunting. Amazing and challenging are words that come to mind along with literal and figurative highs and lows. After experiencing this phenomenon that is September elk hunting I just may stop giving him s**t for missing early teal season. Stoked to get back out to the mountains this weekend to see if we can close the deal!
