Tale of 2 halves as Bears stay perfect!

BAFA Game day 4 for our flag u14s, despite the later kick off half the bears were still 😴 whether it was complacency, tiredness, hangovers or teenage mood swings - the Bears usual offence was misfiring on all cylinders. Missed catches, bad passes, missed tackles and tantrums (from the coaches), couple that with a Tigers team who came to compete the first ended 7-0 to the Bears. A stern talk and and regroup at half time saw the Bears dig deep to grind out the win!!

Game 2 against Buccaneers saw a repeat of game! Another slow start and 7-0 at halftime!! We like to make things hard for ourselves.

Final scores:
Bears 25 - Tigers 0
Bears 35 - Buccaneers 6

Big thanks to the Tigers for being fantastic hosts and to our coaches, parents and travelling support.

Another week another school, this time it was Houston Primary school!

We are always grateful to our coaches who give up their spare time to teach the game and what is more rewarding is when that is reciprocated with enthusiasm from the kids!!! 🐻🏈

A huge thank you to the amazing coaches Josh and Scott from the Paisley Bears for delivering fantastic sessions this week at Houston PS 🏈

It was brilliant to give the children the opportunity to try a new sport, and the energy and enthusiasm throughout the sessions was incredible. The pupils and teachers absolutely had a ball!

A great week of learning new skills, building confidence, and most importantly having fun. Thank you so much for helping out 🙏

Bears Bowl 2026 🏈

Whilst it wasn't the scorcher that was last year, the rain stayed away as it was our turn to host bafa game day 3.

Glasgow Tigers Academy - American Football were the guests with our u14 and u17 teams in action!!

2 wins on the day for our u14s and the u17s lost 2 competitive games against strong competition.

Our u14s remain undefeated for the season with a 4-0 record and look forward to doing it all again in a fortnight!

These 3 troublemakers from our u11 squad were in Dunfermline yesterday supporting their u14 siblings.

It was a windy and wonderful day in Dunfermline and the turn of our U14 flag team to start their BAFA league campaign.

With a full squad it was 2 wins out of 2 against Edinburgh Knights and Dunfermline Kings!!

Great team effort from every single player and big thanks to the travelling support and to the Kings for hosting another great game day.

Weekend recap

Big shout out to our U17 flag squad who finished their Winter League campaign on Saturday with a respectable 3-3 record. With many injuries and last minute emergencies, it was left down to 7 of our U14s to step up to support the squad.

It was back to school today for our coaches Josh and Scott as they visited St Fillan's Primary School in Houston!

Sebastian, one of our stars from our U11 squad was keen to promote the sport to his schoolmates and of course the Bears obliged!!
