It was not realised just how good Brennan was until we saw him fight Naka of Japan. Some say that Naka's yoko geri should have scored. It did not, that is the skill / judgement of Brennan, moving instinctively, just millimetres, to avoid an attack but remainaing, equally instinctively, in range with his counter. That is how he beat the best, from Naka, Christopher, Hall, Best to name a few. Timing, Speed and Accuracy. That said, for many such lucky persons, karate has been thier full time occupation since a very young age.
