It has been great today to breakdown several players throws and mindsets whilst they are playing something I don't do often enough.

I have been honoured to have over half of the County Youth players pass via me for coaching at some point in their darting life and it's great when you see them take on board what you say and you see it implemented.

However as I have always said, it's their game I can only offer help and guidance to them, I still see them overthinking certain outs and moments of the game, I still see them not getting that crucial set breath and focus on before they throw, but when they do you see them on point.
How they react when a player hits a big score or how they allow the moment of a bad visit to get them.

As a coach that's what we always keep looking to work on in sessions.

Helping the players to get more from their game is the role of a coach not to bask in the glory of them winning, seeing the progress and watching them learn and develop is what it's all about.

One thing today has shown me is that I need to stop being a hermit crab and get out to watch more players play.

I hope to see some of them back soon for more sessions and I hope to see those who have not been before possibly have a think about coming for coaching and seeing what it's all about.
