Game day is almost here!

This Saturday we take on the Mustangs at Murwillumbah, with all four senior grades in action.

A special congratulations to Milly, who will run out for her 50th Ladies League Tag game in Hornets colours. A fantastic milestone and one the whole club is proud to celebrate. 💚💛

It’s only a short trip down the road, so come along, get behind the green and gold, and help cheer all four grades on.

Sorry we’re a little late getting to this week’s results from our clash against the Seagulls!

🏉 Ladies: 0–26A tough afternoon for the girls, but they’ll regroup and come back stronger next week.

🏉 Under 18s: 24–4Another strong performance from the 18s, who continue to show just how well this side is playing together.

🏉 Reserve Grade: 12–24 It wasn’t Reggies’ day, but there were still plenty of positives to take away. They’ll be looking to bounce back next week.

🏉 A Grade: 24–22 🟢🟡What a finish! A thrilling contest sealed by Speedy, who slotted a field goal with just 10 seconds remaining to secure a memorable win.

Tonight our U16s and Cudgen Hornets RLFC U18s combined for a training session.

It’s great to see this type of collaboration between our Junior and Senior Club. Creating connections, passing on knowledge and forming mateships too.

We look forward to this happening more frequently 🐝

🎉 MAJOR RAFFLE WINNERS ANNOUNCED! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our 2026 Major Raffle.

While we fell just short of our goal of 500 tickets, we’re incredibly proud to have sold 460 tickets. The support from our players, families, sponsors and wider community was outstanding, and every ticket sold helps support our club both on and off the field.

💚💛 A Big Thank You 💛💚

As our major raffle comes to a close, we’d like to give a special shout-out to two amazing volunteers.

💚 Jane – thank you for setting up and managing the online raffle. Your work behind the scenes made the whole process run smoothly and helped us reach so many supporters.

💛 Elisa – thank you for driving the raffle from start to finish. From promoting tickets and coordinating sales to answering questions and keeping everything on track, you’ve put in an incredible effort. Elisa also spends every home game selling club merchandise and supporting the club in countless ways.

Community clubs are built on volunteers, and we’re lucky to have people like Jane and Elisa giving their time, energy and passion to the Hornets.

This week we welcome the Tweed Seagulls to Cudgen for what promises to be a huge day of footy.

Join us as we honour Big Mac, recognising his incredible contribution and commitment to the Cudgen Hornets over many years.

This Sunday, 22 June, the Cudgen Hornets community will come together to honour one of our own. 💚💛
Prior to the First Grade match, we will observe a minute’s silence in memory of “Big Mac” McCulloch, who recently passed away.

He was a passionate supporter of the Hornets and one of our earliest junior coaches, dedicating countless hours to helping young players develop their love of the game. His contribution to our club and community spanned many years and touched many lives.

We extend our sincere condolences to the entire McCulloch family.

We invite all players, supporters and members of the Hornets family to join us as we pay tribute to a man whose legacy will remain part of our club for generations to come. 🐝💚💛
