Cairns Northern Beaches Rugby Union The Mudcrabs are a family & community oriented club based out of Yorkeys K**b, 10mins north of Cairns

In October 2013, a group of like minded individuals met to discuss their desire to create a new opportunity for Rugby Union participation in Cairns and Far North Queensland. The group identified a need to meet the demand for a new Rugby Union Club based in the Northern Beaches of Cairns and subsequently the Northern Beaches Mudcrabs were born. Mudcrabs Rugby fielded it's first competitive men's te

ams in the 2014 FNQ Rugby competition, then followed this up with the club's maiden A Grade Premiership in 2015. Since 2015, our tireless volunteers helped us to secure and build our own home ground in Yorkey's K**b and in 2018 we finally scuttled in to our new home - "The Crabpot". Overwhelmed by support for our club within our community, we have since grown to accommodate Women's, Junior Boy's & Junior Girl's teams, who compete in their respective FNQ Rugby competitions. From the mums, daughters, sisters, aunties, grandmothers, partners, volunteers, supporters and players.... Thank you for everything you do both on and off the field.
