A few home truths about living tiny.

Going tiny isn't always an easy journey. Going tiny requires a big commitment, getting comfortable with uncertainty and a bit of bravery at times.

Although tiny homes can be a great solution, to me, tiny homes are not a quick fix, but rather a serious choice that needs careful consideration. Everyone is different. Everyone's motivators and circumstances are different too. Some things are the same for all of us - With big life choices, it pays to go hard, be informed and go well if you want the best possible outcome.

I love my tiny life, but I love it because I took the time to do a whole lot of research and a lot of hard work to make sure it was an excellent fit. All the beautiful Insta pics and images sell a romanticized version of a tiny life, but as with anything, there are both good and bad points to tiny living. For me, the good absolutely outweighs the bad, and my journey has been worth every challenge. Still, I feel it is important to go into that journey proactively and with your eyes wide open, ready to do the work, and not to view it as a quick fix. It isn't all roses, but it is a beautiful life if you are prepared to take the time to master it.

Here's something cool for those looking to go tiny but who don't know where to start when it comes to understanding their own personal solar needs.

Sam, my mate, from Sky Energy, has kindly taken time out of his busy schedule to help me put together a guide to calculating solar usage for your home.
