Been keeping the last few months under wraps but I’ve been rebuilding the old 5VY to race at Oulton this weekend. It’s been a few years so will be a little rusty but can’t wait to have another go!

Photos of the new bike will be uploaded tomorrow!

To be honest I just want to ride over the speed limit once in a while😂

Racing is such fun, even from the other side of the fence! Nothing like seeing your friends having fun and riding the wheels of their bikes!👊

Anthony Johnson - AJRacing rode a mega race on his TZR, finishing 3rd against some top GP bikes. You could see how hard he was pushing to get a podium! Well deserved after the bike issues in the earlier races!

Best of luck tomorrow mate!👊👊

Racing recap 2017 - 2021🏁

I’ve been meaning to post this for a little while, obviously not riding this year so it has been nice to reflect on where it all started.

So this is where the road finished for me, in terms of my big shot at trying to get to the top, I raced for a total of 3.5 seasons. 29 race meetings attended with BMCRC. I wanted to do a little summary of how it went.

2017. ZXR400 / Formula 400 / Rookie 400.

Rookie 400 Champion - 2017
3rd Formula 400 - 2017

23 out of 28 Rookie wins - 5 DNF’s.
6 Rookie lap records ( 1 from a standing start).
2 outright wins.
9 podiums in the main F400 class.
2 outright lap records.

42 podiums from 34 race starts. (Rookie 400’s ran with the main class so 63 races in total for 2017)

This includes races in thunderbike extreme rookies on the 400 where I achieved 4 podiums for the 4 races I did.

1 win in rookie 1000’s at the end of the year - 2004 Kawasaki ZX10R.

2018 / Kawasaki ZX10R 2011/ Clubman 1000.

3rd Clubman 1000 - 2018.

7 wins from 14 races.

I achieved 12 podiums from 14 races in clubman 1000. I only managed half a season due to engine failure. 5/10 Race meetings.

2019.Yamaha R1 5VY - Thunderbike Ultra.
Kawasaki ZX10R 2011 - Powerbikes.

Thunderbike Ultra Champion 2019.
3rd - Powerbikes 2019.

Thunderbike Ultra - 12 wins - 24 podiums from 27 races - 2 DNF’s
2 Lap Records

Powerbikes - 1 win - 10 podiums from 24 races.

2021 MRO Powerbikes
BMW S1000RR 2015.

MRO Powerbikes - Champion
Champion of Snetterton
Joint Champion of Brands Hatch

13 wins from a possible 17
16 Podiums
1 DNF.

59 wins and 104 podiums in total from 145 races. 117 race starts.

Loved every second of racing bikes, lot of effort, blood sweat and probably some tears. Wouldn’t change a thing though.

Would have maybe made some different choices along the way but it’s easy to look back and say that.

Made so many friends, probably ruffled a few feathers also.

My Brother Aaron threw so much for me to go and race bikes so he played a massive part in getting where we got to. 100% would not have been possible to do it without him.

A big thanks to all the support over the years from so many people, family and friends, from the people and companies that backed me. To people who threw a tyre at the bike or helped out with entries. All the way to the ones who had a bacon butty for you in the morning. Worth their weight in gold.

I’m still attending the odd race meeting but not racing for the moment. Unfortunately I just didn’t have the funds to take it to the next step.

I’m very proud of what’s been achieved in the short amount of time that I swung my leg over a bike. Here’s some memories in photos.

Maybe one day jump back on a bike, who knows.😂🤷‍♂️

Just WOW!😁I’m still completely lost for words!😅

I still can’t actually believe this happened last night. I never expected my name to be on the Mellano Trophy, a trophy that carries so much history and that goes all the way back to 1925 and is kept in the Brooklands museum.

There is some remarkable names on there, including names like Barry Sheene! Seriously impressive!

Such a pleasure and an honour to be awarded the trophy last night, along with the MRO Powerbike trophy, the joint Champion of Brands and the Champion of Snetterton.

My face is still a picture now!🤣

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my racing, there’s a lot of people that have been involved and helped me get to this point and it has never gone unnoticed!❤️😘

Also a huge thanks to my friends and family for attending the Dinner and Dance with me this year. Also huge thanks to Bemsee for a great evening and season, it’s been really enjoyable.🥳

Thank you everyone for the support. It’s been overwhelming❤️

P5! - Brands hatch GP 8 hour - No limits Endurance 👊🔥

Well that was quite a day!! We started off well, qualified in P4, the track started off a little damp but by the last 10 minutes of the session it had pretty much dried up.

We all come to a decision that I would be the one to do the start, seeing as it was my first endurance and that I should do it🤣.

I got to the bike pretty quick but had a big couple of wheelies as I got going🤣 we managed to slot in to P3 and made our way up to P2 by the end of the first stint!

We were right at the sharp end for the first half of the race! With a 25 second gap to 2nd at one point!

Unfortunately there was a red flag and we then had to go from pit lane. In this time the tyres had cooled and unfortunately one of our guys had a crash. We got going again a lap down, I then went back out to try and get some clear laps due to the red flag!

With 3 laps to go on my stint the BMW decided to just die but not cut the engine!😩 I was none the wiser so ran back from the far end of the circuit with the transponder in my leathers!

Turns out that sometimes the Bm’s like to just crash like a computer. All that was needed was for me to take the key out and start the bike back up!😓this cost us valuable time and put us out of the podium positions!👎

We carried on fighting and there was another red flag which meant we were able to get the bike back for a final stint. Determination got us over the line some 6 laps off the leaders,we completed a total of 226 laps.

It was such a massive team effort, loved almost every minute of it, not the long run though!🤣

A big thanks to Bob FWR Ltd for organising the event! We all enjoyed ourselves and gave it 110%!

A massive thanks to everyone who was working the magic behind the scenes, pit boards, fixing bikes, changing tyres, organising the stints and making sure it ran as smoothly as it could have! There was a lot of experience in the team and it definitely showed today!

Hats off to everyone invlolved! Was for sure a dream team! We all rode really well and think the times would have put us near the sharp end, it just wasn’t to be unfortunately! Maybe next time!👊👊🔥

That’s us done for the year now, what a year it’s been. Thanks to everyone who was a part of it!❤️
