The NZR Board has confirmed Professor Dame Farah Palmer (Ngāti Maniapoto, Waikato) as its third representative on the World Rugby Council 🏉

A former Black Ferns captain and three-time Rugby World Cup champion, Dame Farah brings extensive governance and rugby experience. She was an NZR Board member between 2016 and 2024 and was a member of the New Zealand Māori Rugby Board for 17 years. 🖤

Congratulations to all the players selected to play against the Wairarapa Bush U18 team.Remember that we cannot name a team without a group of players who continually push one another. We are a team of 30 who want the best for each other.

Ahiahi mārie,
​It was an excellent start to our two-day wananga with our u16 - u18 tama teams. We kicked things off with a rugby session and a hit-out between our Under-16 vs u18 tama. We had lunch while watching our senior men's team play, which was followed by more team-building activities, including learning our haka. The day concluded with dinner and a quick debriefing session. When I asked the boys for their feedback, a common theme emerged: learning, connection, and fun.
​Day two was another privilege to spend with the boys, providing more learning and new experiences for some of them.
​We extend our thanks to Andy (Toa wakaama) for sharing his knowledge with us. It was a great way to connect and launch our campaigns.
