Welcome to the new official page for St Olaves snooker club Welcome to St Olaves Snooker Club Ramsey. We are a members only club, but anyone can become a member.

Membership is only £40 per year, and the table lights are the cheapest on island at only £1.20 per hour. The tables and venue are keep in good condition. Tables have heating fitted to the bed and we have competition standard balls. St Olaves really is a jewel in the North and we welcome new members. We are situated just off North shore road at Hanley Villa's turning. To discuss further speak to Paul on 256436

The final of the St Olaves Riversdale Cup was a hard fought match today, with Paul Smyth winning 3 nil over George Taylor, retaining the title for a second year in a row. Unlucky to George who put up a hard fight, and has had a fantastic season himself getting to his usual fair share of finals. Well done to both finalists for a terrific match which the few spectators enjoyed 😎

We lost a legend and a gentleman of iom snooker today. A good friend of St Olaves, Ron Grogan was an icon to many on the snooker scene. Always smiling, he dearly loved his snooker. All our condolences to Ron's extended family at this emotional time. Rip. 😔

Just a reminder. The AGM has taken place, the membership fees have remained the same at 40 quid. They are due to be paid from now onwards. See Paul for payment. The door code will be changed on 31st October. Thank you to all of our members for their continued support, it has been a good year financially for the club, memberships are also up, and our club teams and individual players had great success last season bringing home some of the top trophies including the league trophy. Lets us enjoy the year to come. 😊

It was a great evening of snooker, reffed by Simon Gardner and Dave Kelly and hosted at the Cue Zone last night. Thank you to Darryl Hill and all at the Cue Zone for a very entertaining evening 😁

we received some sad news from our long term member Michael Doherty.

Dear snooker pals, I'm afraid my Dad died on Thursday evening. It was very peaceful and me and my brothers were with him. I'll miss him very much. I wanted you to know how chuffed he was when you made him an honorary lifelong member of St Olave's. More than that though everyone made him feel welcome every time he visited. . We were last in the club about ten days ago and he was potting well. Thank you to everyone at St Olave's. Doc

On behalf of everyone at St Olaves I would like to send our condolences to Michael and all of his family. It was a pleasure to know your dad and have him as a treasured member of St Olaves Snooker Club. He loved his boxing and his snooker. May he rest in peace 😢

As lockdown restrictions have now been lifted, St Olaves Snooker Club is now opened for members to play snooker. The club has been cleaned and sanitised for your safety. There is still hand sanitizer available, and it may be a good idea to sanitise your hands on arrival. Best to be safe. Welcome back 😁

As per the new lockdown. St Olaves will be closed. The door code will be changed tonight, 2nd March, to prevent access until this lockdown period passes. I will inform you all when the club reopens.Good luck and let's all be sensible, and helpful to each other. 😊

St Olaves have reached the milestone of having over 50 current members. (51 as off today)

It is great to see, as we are only a small community based club, with cheap fantastic playing conditions, completely ran by the members. It is great to see the club so busy, with so much talented members. More members always welcome. 😊

With restrictions lifted, St Olaves was able to run the 2nd in-house comp of the year, The Riversdale Cup (handicapped knockout)

The best of 5 final was played tonight between Matthew (Corky) Corkill (49) and Paul Smyth (scratch).

Paul won the final 3 nil, but it was a closer match than the scoreline showed. The first two frames were decided on the black, and the last frame decided on the pink. Corky should be very proud of his performance, as he is one of our newer members, and this is his first in-house comp, and his first final. Well done to both players for a great final, and congratulations to Paul Smyth who will get his name on this glorious club Cup. 😊

Thank you to the spectators who came to watch, we hope you enjoyed the evening.
