Meet two of our outstanding PROMISE Mentors—Emma and Vlora—who continue to inspire future generations of women in sports! 🌟💪

Emma was a crew chief for the Spain vs. the Netherlands game in the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket Qualifiers, showcasing elite officiating on the international stage. Meanwhile, Vlora was appointed as an assistant technical delegate for the Italy vs. Czech Republic match, working alongside the amazing Eleonora Rangelova from Bulgaria to foster an atmosphere of excellence on the court. 🏀✨

Their dedication, professionalism, and leadership light the way for tomorrow’s female athletes and leaders! ✨

✨ The IV Mentorship Forum kicked off the mentorship program with energy and enthusiasm at the Catalan Basketball Federation! 🙌🏀

The day was packed with hands-on training, insightful clinics, and inspiring presentations delivered by incredible mentors. This 4th edition was particularly special as it marked the first time participants from the referee mentoring program were welcomed! 👏

🗣️ Silvia Font, Director of the Coach Mentorship Program, shared:
“The 4th Forum begins with renewed energy, bringing referees and coaches together to share experiences, learn, and grow. This is another important step in empowering women on the basketball court.”

🗣️ Sandra Sánchez, FIBA referee and mentor, added:
“It has been an enriching day of sharing experiences and discussing the challenges we face as women on the court. This was a valuable opportunity to reflect on the future and the steps we must take moving forward together.”

🌟 “If you dream it, go after it!” Ulpiana’s message is clear: young girls aspiring to make their mark in basketball or any field should never let barriers hold them back.

🏀 Basketball is a sport of details, and as Ulpiana points out, women excel in noticing and applying details—whether on the court or in leadership roles. This makes women in basketball not just important but essential!

🎤 Transitioning from the court to the mic wasn’t easy, but her knowledge of the game gave her the edge to thrive in a male-dominated industry. Despite criticism and challenges, Ulpiana remains undeterred, paving the way for girls who follow in her footsteps.
