I did not plan my visit at the Vietnam-Danish Badminton Institute; I saw a post pop up on Esmeralda's social media about the training Centre.
After five months of traveling around the world I miss playing badminton, so I send a message.
I am allowed to come and a few weeks later I am welcomed with open arms by Ron and Huynh.
During the first few days, my body really has to adjust; aching legs and minor injuries are a logical consequence of training intensively twice a day after not having played for 5 months.
Before I arrived, I didn't know Ron and Huynh, but during the training sessions, I notice that both trainers truly live for badminton and possess a great deal of knowledge and experience.
Countless new techniques, falling footwork methods, and tactical game insights are all covered in Huynh's morning trainings and Ron's afternoon sessions.
As a PE teacher, I also think the kids' training sessions, where Huynh teaches the children from the village, are fantastic.
The kind people in the village, freedom I felt because of the scooter and Ron's delicious cooking make this experience complete
thankyou for this unforgettable time π
