Can we thrive without realizing it? If so, will you look back 6 months or a year from now and realize that you have thrived more than you though during the pandemic?
We covered a lot of ground during the Thrive panel last night, but this was an idea that stood out to me. It’s worth some thought, in my opinion.
Some other concepts from the panel I will be thinking more about:
- To help others thrive, give them empathy, perspective, and opportunity.
- The close relationship between helping others to thrive and thriving yourself.
- Whether leaders have a responsibility to thrive – or not.
- The difference between acceptance and acknowledgement in times of adversity, and how acceptance prevents, while acknowledgement fosters the opportunity to thrive.
- Whether ‘surrendering to the impossibilities’ can be a positive approach to a situation. (I’m hesitant to relinquish efficacy and become a passive participant, but I’ll be reflecting upon it further)
If you have any thoughts on the above, please do share!
These are just the tip of the iceberg so if you are interested to see more, check out the recording on Grow Arena.
Thanks to Leaders Create Leaders for hosting the event, to Warren Eng for moderating, to my fellow panelists Lien Hoa and Loann Vu, and to everyone who attended!
