Ngọc Anh and I finally got out to the lake on a very rare day off for both of us. We each managed a solid pacu(cá chim), but she absolutely stole the show with a spectacular cá nheo (Amur catfish)! 🎣🐟

Nothing beats a day away from the noise of the city—just fresh air, quiet farmlands, and good fishing vibes. 🌿🌊

I finally managed to get some fishing done again yesterday, and what a day it was! 🎣 Two Amur catfish (cá nheo) and one very decent Pacu (cá chim) landed. We haven’t seen an Amur catfish here in quite some time, so it was extra special pulling in not one, but two! Nothing beats escaping the city for some fresh air, quiet farmland, and a bend in the rod. 🌾☀️

Jan was back at the lake for a quick morning session — and what a session it was! 🎣
He arrived right at 06:00 and by 10:00, he had landed six gorgeous giant snakehead. All catch and release, as always — it’s all about the experience, the fight, and respecting the fish.

We had just come back from a gruelling trip to Sông Đà — hot, tired, and honestly a bit defeated. So I decided to try and salvage the little bit of ego I had left… and BAM! I landed this gorgeous dark giant snakehead right here at the lake.

Walle Nguyen and his friends came out and absolutely smashed it — catching everything from giant snakehead to Rohu! 🎣🔥
It was one of those dream sessions that every angler hopes for… nonstop action, stunning fish, and fresh air out on the farm.
This is what escaping the city is all about!

From deep olive green to vibrant blue, with streaks of electric purple, these giant snakeheads looked like they swam straight out of a painter’s wildest dream. Afrikanbanks Jan Lubbe landed three in less than an hours spell of madness — and each one hit like a freight train. When they smash your lure, your rod explodes with power, your arms tense, and your chest pounds with pure adrenaline.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Eddie and his family to the lake over the weekend. It was a joy meeting them and seeing them enjoy the peaceful surroundings, even if a few fish managed to slip the hook! They still managed to land a beautiful Amur catfish (cá nheo) and made some great memories in the process.
