Ju-jitsu International Federation World Championship 2022. Jiu-jitsu -48kg. Gold. 🥇

Though some may think otherwise, this one did not come easy. Up until the morning of the competition, I was not mentally okay. Days before the competition, my mind was bombarded with many thoughts, and my body just felt tired. In the morning of the competition, I wasn’t' feeling the usual "I am so excited to fight" feeling that I usually do on the day of the competition. I spent time in God's word, listened to hymns and worship music, and I prayed, prayed, prayed repeating to the Lord: "Lord, I need you. Lord, I need you." It was only when I got the venue, prayed with the team, that the Lord changed everything. He listened to our prayers!
 
He reminded me that I had nothing to fear if all I wanted to do was bring glory to His name. He reminded me of who He is, the God who created the universe whose love surpasses all things, that whatever He would allow to happen that day would be for our good and for His glory. So throughout that day, I set my mind on that, on bringing glory to the Lord. In this particular competition, I surrendered and depended completely on the Lord, because I knew that relying on myself, I was helpless and fragile.
 
This gold medal, this world title is really something I cannot claim for myself. This victory belongs to the Lord! This was His work for His glory!

Posted • Congratulations to the girls on their performances today at the IBJJF Pan Championships. Not everything went our way and they had very strong opponents in their brackets but they were determined to give it their all for every match.

Thanks to everyone at for giving us the best support possible for the past month, especially Profs and - We will be back soon much improved from all the learnings 🙏🏽🙏🏽
