FITNESS THAT HOLDS UP WHEN THE GAME DOESN’T SLOW DOWN.

For Cody Macdonald, one of the biggest differences this season has been simple:

Running out games — rather than falling short late.

This all began in his offseason, where we prepared for his conditioning needs to translate directly to his on-field demands. It’s not just about being able to run fast or hit a fitness test — it’s about having the capacity to keep performing when fatigue sets in.

With football seasons wrapping up, the offseason is your opportunity to build that engine before preseason begins.

If you want to come into next season fitter and better prepared to perform for four quarters, we’re now taking interest for offseason field sport programming.

Training should complement your life — not compete with it.

Whether you’re preparing for your next running event or heading into the offseason as a field sport athlete, more training isn’t automatically better.

The goal is to build a plan that delivers the right work, at the right time, around your work, family, sport and other commitments.

As Daniella experienced, that also means having the flexibility to adjust when life inevitably changes — without losing sight of the bigger goal.

I’m currently gauging interest for upcoming individualised Run Rogue training blocks.

Most footy coaches aren’t running coaches.

And they shouldn’t have to be.

“I didn’t know if we were overloading them… or not doing enough.”

That’s where mistakes happen — and where injuries or underperformance follow.

Run Rogue removes the guesswork:
✔️ Structured running
✔️ Individualised load
✔️ Clear progression

“The results speak for themselves… fitter and more prepared.”

You coach football. We handle the running.

Another marathon success!
Shoutout to Run Rogue athlete Jamie Fidanza for completing the SYDNEY MARATHON yesterday after 5 months of consistent training leading up to the event.

With natural hiccups that arose during training, Jamie stayed consistent and on top of training and recovery to complete his first major marathon.
Proud of you brother💪

Recovery is essential. Doing nothing for weeks isn’t.

The best athletes use the offseason to recover first, then gradually rebuild so they’re ready to attack preseason—not survive it.

Your offseason should be intentional.

A huge finals campaign ahead for Pakenham Football Club ‼️

Run Rogue has been proud to work alongside PKFC since the beginning of preseason, programming the club’s fitness and conditioning blocks to integrate into their twice-weekly training schedule and help prepare the group for the demands of the 2026 season.

The result has been an outstanding home-and-away campaign, with both the Senior and Reserves Men finishing the regular season undefeated. An incredible achievement and a credit to the players, coaches and everyone involved at the club.

Now the focus shifts to finals.

Wishing both sides all the best as their 2026 finals campaign begins tomorrow.

Another great piece of feedback from Pakenham senior footballer Nash

“Definitely noticed a difference with the preseason this year — no soft tissue and feeling strong!”

That’s a big part of what we want from offseason preparation. Not just improved fitness, but building the capacity and resilience to handle the demands of an entire football season.

For Nash, that work has translated into feeling strong when it matters most — finals time. 💪

Best of luck to Nash and everyone at Pakenham Football Club heading into finals. Go well! 🏆

And for footballers whose season is coming to an end — your next preseason starts with what you do this offseason.

Every athlete asks this question, and the answer is always the same…

It depends.

Your sport, the length of your season, your training history and how your body is feeling all play a role.

The key is finding the balance between recovering properly and not waiting so long that you’re starting from scratch.

If you want to level up this offseason, Run Rogue are ready to help. With over 40+ successes from last offseason, I’m confident we can get you where you want to be!

The race doesn’t start at the start line. It starts when the excitement tells you to go too fast.

One of the biggest mistakes runners make is chasing people instead of chasing their plan.

The pace feels easy early. Adrenaline is high. Everyone around you seems to be moving effortlessly.

But races, particularly long distances, have a way of exposing poor pacing.

The runners who go out too hard often spend the final 10–15km trying to survive. The runners who stay patient are usually the ones finishing strong.

That’s exactly what we aim to achieve at Run Rogue.

We don’t just write training plans—we teach athletes how to race. How to trust the process, stick to the pacing strategy, and make smart decisions when it matters most.

This testimonial says it better than we ever could. An athlete who ignored the temptation to chase a faster group, trusted the plan, and was rewarded with their strongest final 10km and smartest marathon yet.

Run your own race. Trust your pacing. Let everyone else make the first mistake.
