DaNang, including this event has been very transformative for me this year

My 3 big takeaways so far:

1. build or join the community, show up, support others. Offer your service to the right people

2. start the project. Don’t overthink, just dare to say yes to you and believe in your abilities.

3. Life moves fast, and so do we. Move on, close the wrong doors cuz then the right ones will open for you after 🙏🏼

3 of the most common Habits I see as a coach after working with hundreds of people the last 7 years

1 Getting in a ‘Crush Diet’ to see quick results. This makes you, struggle a lot short term to sustain it but also, in most cases gaining the weight back

Instead your diet should be in harmony with your life, preferences and goals

2 Thinking of training as something you must push hard it only creates more friction between you and going to the gym.

3. Imperfect action beats perfect plan every time.

Something I say all the time to my clients is that, I’d rather see you be 80% on track but consistent than trying to go 100% and fail and then quit.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. You just have to start and stick with it.

“Better is the enemy of good” - one of my favourite quotes

Many times you might feel stuck cuz you can’t do it “great” can’t have a “proper workout” a full day of good eating, etc

But even if you can do 50% on a day that the 50 was all you could give, that’s still a big win (and actually your 100% for that day)

Imperfect workout is still better than a no workout

Carbohydrates are not the enemy of Fat Loss. Poor dieting, and inconsistent calorie deficit is

In fact in a optimal for performance diet for the majority of people, carbs should be big part of it

Here’s a simple guide for how to use them:

🍞 Simple Carbs
- eat some 2h before workout
- eat some more combined with protein shortly after your workout
❌ avoid heavy simple carb meals if you wanna stay focused on work for many hours
BUT USE it if you feel sluggish and need an instant boost for 2-3hrs

Complex carbs
- use during your day to keep you full for longer
- use on dinner to prevent late night binge (if you have issue with that)
- use to help you stay focused and productive (on breakfast)
- also use in combination with some simple carbs to balance the crash of the simple carbs but also give you some extra boost

2025 has been a great teacher

More ups and downs than I can count. Many remarkable moments, places that inspired me beyond my imagination

Yet behind all those travels and smiles it was one of the most challenging year for my mental health. I haven’t shared it at all here. Maybe I will, one day

I’m so grateful for this gift called life.

I thank God everyday for all the blessings.

There are not bad moments. Only happy and challenging ones

Half-assing things doesn’t work, right?

Same way as it wouldn’t work with our relationship or business, same way it doesn’t work for our body

However to not get misunderstood

2 half assed workouts are still better than none

And if that’s all you can do for this week, it’s cool

The point I’m trying to make here is that we always gonna get the output based on input

If you’re currently at 1 halfassed workout building it up to 2-3 is still progress though

Week 1&2 from the 6 lean fitness challenge

Overall I gotta admit, this is one the best groups I coached so far

The % of participation and hard work is truly admirable

However, as we also discuss in our meetings

The number on the scale it’s not the only important metric

- How you feel
- Higher energy
- Better relationship with food without perceive them as “Good” and “ Bad”
- Consistency with nutrition and training
- Enjoy over the diet
- Clothes fit better

All these are way better metrics than just the number on the scale

Those numbers represent only a friction of reality

The truth is, behind every successful story, there are tears, fears, doubts moments like you feel you wanna give up, and many fk ups.

As a coach I’m well aware of that as I support my clients during those dark moments

But you see that’s not the fancy side we often share on social media but I wanna be transparent and share them with you

But no matter how many times you mess up, as long as you stay committed, eventually and inevitably success will find you 🙏🏼
