This week, contrary horse came to the surface. Horse medicine in this deck is a great symbol of power, and in the Native American tradition on which these cards are based, it’s said that horse was the one that carried the shamans through the air to the realm of heaven.
In reverse, the message of Horse is that your ego may have gotten in the way of you noticing a lack of respect that you may have been receiving from others. Or perhaps you’ve been struggling with others who are abusing their power. If this is the case, you’re encouraged to remember times in your own life when you have fallen out of grace and to have compassion for those that might be doing the same. Horse in both the dignified and contrary positions is a simple reminder of how to return to balance. Reclaim the power you have given away by forgetting to come from compassion, and unravel yourself from the present situation. Understand that everyone must follow their own journey to arriving at their destiny.
Horse breath as demonstrated in slide 2 🤓 is an excellent tool to release anxious energy and return to balance.
