Better Together!
The best annual retreat ever!
After a year of working together as part of the same family, last month we joined our sister company, Glove, for our annual retreat — a special opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate all that we’ve accomplished over the past year.
We were proud to welcome and host the entire team in Carmelo, one of Uruguay’s most beautiful wine regions. Over three unforgettable days, we shared experiences that showcased the people, culture, and traditions that make this corner of the world so special.
We learned about the history and rhythms of candombe, visited a family-run cheese farm, wandered the cobblestone streets of UNESCO-listed Colonia del Sacramento, and were deeply moved by the testimony of one of the survivors of the Andes tragedy. We explored family-owned wineries, cycled through the countryside, rode horseback, and danced to the beat of carnival drums.
Most importantly, we spent time with one another. We shared stories, strengthened friendships, celebrated our achievements, and reflected on the exciting journey ahead.
We are incredibly grateful to be part of this extended family.
Thank you to everyone who made this retreat possible, and especially to the remarkable teams at Glove Travel and Lares Uruguay. Here’s to many more adventures together.

🌴The National Park of Quebrada de los Cuervos is the largest canyon in Uruguay, with subtropical forest at its bottom and over 100 species of birds, 20 mammals, 18 amphibians, 20 different types of fishes and many flowers. Cut into the Cuchilla Grande range by the Yerbal Chico stream, the canyon reaches a depth of 175m.

The area has been protected for years and offers defined trails and signage. In 2008,it became the first protected landscape in the NationalSystem of Protected Areas(SNAP) expanding in 2020 to 19,395 hectares, taking its current name “Quebrada de los Cuervos y Sierras del Yerbal Protected Landscape”. Enjoy our mini trekking tour down the gorge to where the Olimar and Yerbal Rivers converge. We will prepare a picnic lunch including local products Just for you! 🧺

El Parque Nacional Quebrada de los Cuervos es el cañón más grande de Uruguay, con bosque subtropical de fondo y más de 100 especies de aves, 20 mamíferos, 18 anfibios, 20 tipos diferentes de peces y muchas flores. Cortado en la sierra de Cuchilla Grande por el arroyo Yerbal Chico, el cañón alcanza una profundidad de 175m.
El área ha sido protegida durante años y ofrece senderos y señalización bien definidos. En 2008 se convirtió en el primer paisaje protegido del Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas (SNAP) expandiéndose en 2020 a 19.395 hectáreas, tomando su actual nombre “Paisaje Protegido Quebrada de los Cuervos y Sierras del Yerbal”. Disfruta de nuestro minitrekking por la quebrada hasta donde confluyen los ríos Olimar y Yerbal. Prepararemos un almuerzo tipo picnic con productos locales ¡Solo para ti!

Olive trees have existed in our country since colonial times. The first plantations date back to the founding process of Montevideo around 1726. However, the Industry of extra Virgin olive Oil experienced a sustained growth in the recent years
with new investments. 6,200 cultivated hectares and more than 160 producers in the 19 departments, Uruguay achieved the necessary conditions to obtain an excellent production in 2020/21.

Los olivos existen en nuestro país desde la época colonial. Las primeras plantaciones datan del proceso fundacional de Montevideo hacia 1726. Sin embargo, la Industria del Aceite de Oliva Extra Virgen experimentó un crecimiento sostenido en los últimos años con nuevas inversiones. 6.200 hectáreas cultivadas y más de 160 productores en los 19 departamentos, Uruguay logró las condiciones necesarias para obtener una excelente producción en 2020/21.

At the beginning of winter and well into spring, the Uruguayan coasts receive the arrival of the Franca austral Whale. Year after year the number of whales that arrive increase, as well as the duration of their visits. 🐋

🇺🇾Uruguay is part of the route of these wonderful cetaceans due to the calm that they find on these coasts. In various points of the departments of Rocha and Maldonado coastal viewpoints were built for whale watching. Live Uruguay all year round!

One of the wonders of visiting our country is to contemplate our sunsets. The horizon of our ondulating fields, the sea or the river, sailing by boat or on a kayak trip, touring our vineyards by bicycle or on a horseback ride.
We belive they are the best of the world! What do you think?
