🏆 SPORTS FANS & COMPETITORS: THE ZWINGLEFEST TOURNAMENTS ARE BACK! 🏆

Are you ready to claim bragging rights this summer? Whether you're a slugger on the diamond or a wall at the net, we want YOU on the field for our annual Zwinglefest Tournaments!

We are officially locking in team slots for both tournaments happening Saturday, July 11th at the Zwingle Ball Diamond!

⚾ MEN’S SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

Entry Fee: $50.00 per team

🏐 COED VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

Entry Fee: $60.00 per team

Both tournaments are held in conjunction with all the food, drinks, and fun of Zwinglefest. Spaces are limited, so grab your squad and register before the brackets fill up!

🚜 PARK UPDATE: Our board and volunteers have been busy! 🚜

The Zwingle Recreation Area is looking absolutely incredible after a packed weekend of teamwork, heavy lifting, and park upgrades!

Our ZRA Volunteer Board teamed up with local hands to tackle a massive to-do list, and we are so proud of what got accomplished:

The Announcers Booth: After last year’s tornado tore down our old booth, our friends and neighboring business, J&S Better Built Barns LLCbuilt us a beautiful, brand-new booth from the ground up! This weekend, our crew put on the finishing touches, and the new grass surrounding it is already growing in beautifully.

Playground Safety Edging: A huge thank you to Tri-State Landscaping for installing the fantastic new edging around our playground! It looks incredibly sharp and keeps the area defined and safe.

Tons of Mulch: We moved, spread, and raked a mountain of fresh mulch into that new edging to ensure our playground areas are clean, cushioned, and ready for the kids.

New Bleachers: Brand new field bleachers are officially assembled, secured, and ready for spectators to cheer on their favorite teams.

As a 100% volunteer-led park, every single hour of sweat equity counts. We want to give a massive shoutout to our dedicated board members who spent their weekend on tractors and shovels, and a huge, special thank you to the awesome community members and local businesses like J&S Better Built Barns who help us keep this park beautiful.

Our park is safe, clean, and completely ready for the summer ball season and the upcoming Zwinglefest! Come out and enjoy it! ☀️⚾️

✨ ZWINGLEFEST IS COMING! ✨

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 11th! We are gearing up for our biggest event of the year, and we need your help to make it absolutely unforgettable.

There are two major ways you can support the ZRA and our community right now:

🎁 1. We Need Raffle & Live Auction Donations!
Want to promote your business or simply give back? We are officially accepting donations! Bigger prizes mean a bigger crowd, and every single donation makes a massive difference.

What we’re looking for: Gift baskets, unique experiences, local business items/services, or anything fun and creative!

🙋‍♂️ 2. We Need Volunteers (Event Day & Day After!)
An amazing festival takes a village! We are looking for volunteers to help us pull off a smooth, fun day all throughout the event on Saturday, and we also need a cleanup crew and concession workers for Sunday! Whether you can spare an hour or a few, your time is incredibly appreciated.

How to Help:

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who attended and supported our annual steak fry this weekend. ❤️🥩

The overwhelming support, kindness, and community spirit mean more to us than words can express. Events like these wouldn’t be possible without every person who showed up, bought a meal, volunteered, laughed with friends, and continues to support the Zwingle Recreation Area year after year.

We are truly grateful, humbled, and so appreciative of our amazing community.

⚾ DUST OFF THE CLEATS, FELLAS! ⚾
Is your "glory days" highlight reel playing on repeat? It’s time to stop talking about that home run from 1998 and actually hit one!

We are looking for Men’s Over 35 Softball Teams to join the legendary Wednesday night league at the Zwingle Recreation Area!

THE DEETS:
WHEN: Wednesday Nights.

SEASON: Starts late May and runs through August.

COST: $250 per team.

LOCATION: The beautiful ZRA fields.

WHY JOIN?
🔥 The Competition: Just competitive enough to feel like an athlete, just relaxed enough to not pull a hamstring (hopefully).
🍔 The Grub: Our concession stand serves up the best post-game fuel in the county.
🍺 The "Recovery" Drinks: Cold beer is ready and waiting.

📣 DID YOU KNOW? You can reserve the Zwingle Recreation Area pavilion and ball fields for your next event! ☀️🥤🏆

We already have a lot of bookings for the 2026 season, but there is still space for your reunion, graduation, or team party! To keep our park in top shape and running smoothly for everyone, here is the updated info for the year:

💰 2026 RESERVATION RATES:
• Pavilion Reservation: $50/day (Includes pavilion use + stocked/unlocked bathrooms).

• Ball Field Reservations: $50 per day, per field (Softball or Baseball).

• Softball Field Lights: Additional $50 fee for night use.

💡EXPECTATIONS:
To help our volunteers, all reservation holders are REQUIRED to:

• Lights Out: Turn off all lights (pavilion and fields) before leaving.

• Clean-Up: Remove all trash bags, place them in the dumpster, and replace them with the liners provided in the cabinet near the ZRA payment drop box.

💳 BOOKING & PAYMENT:
Dates are officially reserved once paid in advance. Please confirm your date with a Board Member before paying!
Two ways to Pay!

Drop Box: Use the secure box mounted right in the pavilion.

Mail: Send a check to PO BOX 474, Zwingle, IA 52079.

Please include your name, phone number, and reservation date with your payment.

⚠️ PUBLIC ACCESS POLICY:
The ZRA park and all amenities (playground, restrooms, and both ball fields) remain open to the public at all times unless specifically reserved. Reserving one area does not close the rest of the park. Note: The concession stand is not open to the public or available for reservation.

💰 FUTURE RATES: Starting in 2027, the Pavilion Reservation rate will increase to $75.
