Whats up this week in the shop?
Scales on 4 old orders are priority for the first part then I will be starting a run of 10 journeys. 5 will be of my choosing but I am going open 5 spots for customs. Choice of steels will be 1/8" 01, 3/32 80crv2 or 3/32 AEB-L and your choice of handle material. No deposit will be required and turn around time will be approximately 2 weeks from the time I start on blanks towards the end of the week. Shoot me a pm if anyone would like to talk further about them

Theres going to be a change in the way that i run the shop taking place within the next 2 weeks. Bouncing around working on different models at the same time used to work fine but at this stage it is no longer feasible. I have a few more to catch up on but once i reach a comfort point i will be doing knives in batches. Batches will either be 5 or 10 depending on current orders. I will round up to the closest and make that number whether they are ordered or not. This will allow me to be more productive in getting orders filled quicker and allow for some inventory to finally be had. I have been extremely fortunate over the years as to every knife i make is for an existing order but at the same time i on average lose 35% of inquiries due to my backlog. My intentions are to kill 2 birds qith 1 stone by running the knives in batches. These 2 pictures are just from the last 2 days to give you an idea of tge problem i have been running into. If i can set my grinders up to do 1 model at a time i should be avke to crank out alot more knives.

This is a time of great transition for blackfeather knives. I want everyone to know that there is nothing more important to me than getting your knives out the door. I will be the first to admit that i have fallen short on meeting deadlines and that is the reason that i closed the books. Please be assured that i am busting my ass and working my fingers to the bone trying to rectify this. I have always operated blackfeather on natural progression but back in September i went to part time at my regular job, At that point i panicked a bit as the knife shop had no choice but to produce. I actually bit off more than i could do in the times i had promised but please believe that it was not intentional. Now as i prepare to become a full time maker there is more pressure on my shoulders than i have felt in quite a long time but my determination is greater than you could possibly imagine and failure is not an option. I will get your knife to you and i will grow the most bad ass knife company ever. Please bare with me as i continue this journey. All of yall are part of it whether you realize it or not and for that i am forever grateful.

Both the sigmora and the standard were just released today. The sigmoras sold out almost immediately and there are only a few standards left. Better grab one now before these are gone as well. Only available through sigma3

UPDATE!!!! IT WORKED! Merck got in touch with Lorie today and they are going to do everything they can for her.

I spent the afternoon yesterday with Lorie Volker. Lorie is fighting stage 4 High Grade Pleomorphic Sarcoma and needs our help. The cancer has now spread to her heart and her only treatment option left is Keytruda, manufactured by Merck. They are not currently running clinical trials of the drug but may give it to her on a compassionate basis. Lorie does not have time to go through proper channels.

Lorie is a HUGE fan of the Alone show, and an avid outdoors woman. If love of life and the will to live were enough, she would have enough to cure other people. Thanks to your prayers and e-mails Merck is now involved.

WE DID IT!!! We did what I thought was impossible, in just 2 short days we made such an impact with one of the largest Global Pharmaceutical companies that they dropped everything to help!!! High level folks from Merck have directly reached out to Abby Hildebrand and I and are going to do anything they can do to help!!

THEY CALLED US ON NEW YEARS DAY!! They can not wait to get in touch with my doctors and start whatever it is that I need to try to save me!! Praise The Lord!!! Our posts and videos literally went viral!!!! My beautiful friends and TENS OF THOUSANDS of complete strangers all came together to give ME the most glorious gift ever.....A CHANCE AT LIFE!!

I can not wait until I can have the opportunity to figure out ways to personally thank every. One. Of. You!
