Just so everyone knows, when going under the hwy 58 culvert located in the covered bridge park, it is full of water and mud. It is advised to go up the hill and cross the road. You might get stuck in the mud/water if you try going through the culvert.

Good points from a neighboring club. We could see a significant snow storm, we hope you can enjoy some riding. If you are out, be cautious and make sure and stay on the trail!

We have had a couple messages about trail reports. Tom one of our groomer operators is out as we speak. His report is overall good, open fields kind of blew around, but most of the wooded areas are very good! Here are a couple pictures. Enjoy this new year, and get out and ride! ❄️ ❄️ ❄️

This morning a handful of club members ran out and re-routed the trail from Zumbrota to Mazeppa, we were able to find a much nicer and safer way that doesn’t involve a steep hill going to a bridge. We heard the concerns and didn’t want anyone to avoid a section of trail because of the hill. This route is MUCH better.

Only problem is we need some snow. It looks to be warm again next week, but a cooling trend looks to happen around New Years. So everyone ask Santa for some cold weather and snow this year! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Covered Bridge Riders!

As most of you know, we had to reroute the trail between Mazeppa and Zumbrota on short notice while we had snow and the trails were open. A bridge was built, and a significant amount of snow was pushed into the ravine to help reduce the steep grade.

We’ve since heard your concerns. After spending Saturday afternoon evaluating the area and looking for a safer, easier option, we’ve come up with a much better solution. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to complete that reroute until this Saturday. Until then, please take your time and use extra caution when going up and down the hill. A new reroute will be in place by the weekend.

That said, warmer temperatures aren’t in our favor this week, with highs potentially reaching the 40s. If possible, we ask that riders stay off the trails until colder temps return later in the week so we can preserve the base we have.

Let’s keep thinking cold temps and fresh snow! ❄️ Hopefully this will be the last reroute needed on the trail to Mazeppa 🤞

❄️ Covered Bridge Riders Trail Update ❄️
We picked up another 3" across the trail system! It’s still early-season riding, so please use caution.

🚧 Attention riders coming from Mazeppa to Zumbrota: Use extra caution heading down the hill to the new bridge on the reroute. This change was necessary due to a landowner closing the previous section of trail.

Our crew will be out packing trail with the groomer tomorrow and building a snow bridge by the new bridge.

Everything should be packed and set for good early-season riding by the weekend.
Please stay on the trail — and think snow! ❄️🚨

📣 Trail Update from Covered Bridge Riders Snowmobile Club! ❄️

We’re excited to share that we’ve received permission from a local landowner, giving us access to a new trail into Mazeppa! A huge thank-you to them for letting us use their land to get connected back to the trail.

Please use caution and slow down when approaching this area. We built a temporary bridge to make the route possible, and once we get enough snowfall, we plan to pack in snow to create a proper “snow bridge.”
Your cooperation keeps our trails safe and helps maintain good relationships with our landowners.

Think snow! ❄️

🚨 Trail Update from Covered Bridge Riders 🚨

Great news everyone — our trails are officially OPEN as of today, December 1st! ❄️🚦
All trails are marked, bridges are in, and things are looking good with this recent snowfall.

A quick note:
The trail heading toward Mazeppa is currently closed. A landowner chose not to allow access across their property this year, so we’re working on a reroute. This may take a little time, and we’ll keep everyone updated as soon as we have a solution.

As we kick off the season, please remember:
✨ Stay on the marked trails
✨ Respect our landowners — we truly couldn’t have these trails without them
✨ Do NOT trespass
✨ And most importantly, have an awesome and safe snowmobile season!

Thanks, and let’s make it a great winter! ❄️🛷💙

The Covered Bridge Riders hosted our annual landowner appreciation dinner on Saturday, expressing gratitude to those who generously allow us to ride on their land. We hope the landowners enjoyed the delicious chicken and meal. It's the least we can do. Thank you to all of our landowners!
