This one is gonna be a bit heart felt. Grab your kleenex. First, sorry for the lack of updates. The nights have been busy, the results have sucked, and some circumstances screwed us. But off the track, we have been putting in work, chasing dollars, overnight road trips between time clock punches, and help from a lot of really good people. As most of you know, over the last year or so, we have been chasing the 410 dream pretty hard. Buying up parts, getting good deals, just trying to get stuff home. We had 1 motor just about ready, then a good friend wanted to team up and we acquired another motor. We blew it up after 11 laps. Heartbreak. But then the deal of a lifetime came to be. A deal I had been working on for about 3 years and never thought it would come to be, until the day I got the call. A price was set. An unbelievable price at that. Sadly, this person wants to remain nameless. But hes an awesome person and took care of me better than any of you could ever imagine. So with a price set, it was time to put in work. Word started to travel what was happening. I got 2 very important text messages. Another silent donor had stepped up. His words were very touching. Said we were an inspiration to the under dogs. The guys that do this strictly for the love of the sport. For putting our heart and soul into everything we did even if we showed up with a crate engine against a stacked USAC Racing field. The other message was from Doug Johnson at GO Lithium. Hes been one of my longest supporters and has helped me a ton through the years. What was the heart string jerker on that one is, he compared us to the late great scott bloomquist. Obviously not for our on track performance, but for our drive and desire for the sport. Our willingness to race no matter what. Having a car break halfway through a race and kept driving it to the checker! And my buddy Rick Larsen. Its his shop i rent to do all my side work at. He sees with his own 2 eyes what i go through day in and day out just to keep this dream alive. He gave me a big project and a big check for doing it, and we were able to bring home this deal of a lifetime motor. The picture of everything on the shop floor is everything that came in the deal with a bunch of pumps also just not pictured for a price I can not disclose here. But let's just say whatever number is in your head is wrong. We have spent years creating a good reputation for ourselves both on and off the track. We have surrounded ourselves with good people. This is what hard work, dedication, the drive to succeed, and surrounding yourself with good people can accomplish. Once this motor is together, we can finally get back to traveling. But now with 3 aluminum motors, next year we will be striving for big things. Theres so many more people to thank that have gotten us to this point. For them, we are truly grateful. We are gonna keep digging no matter what, because we have the heart, and a group of amazing souls behind us that believe in us win or lose. This was a huge step, and we cant be thankful enough for all the help to get here. We can only go up from here. And for those who follow us, we do this for you. If it wasnt for amazing fans like you, there wouldnt be any point doing it. We have a few more big things on the horizon, but we dont quite have all the details hashed out.
