UPDATE: Thank you everyone for reaching out. Most importantly Noah’s head and neck are ok! Broken collar bone, broken wrist, seperated AC joint some gnarly road rash and worried about a super low hemoglobin, but do not see any internal bleeding… will work on getting to the bottom of that… Will post a video below… that Bell Helmets likely saved his life.

How old is your chain?
Today was another experiment day on the dyno. I have already found the best chains and l**e to give the best performance, but how long should you run a chain until it starts to slow you down?

I had a customer bring up a chain from his kart that he has been running since the beginning of this year. It has roughly 275 laps on it(3 weekends @ 45-50sec per lap asphalt road course). It has been properly maintained, cleaned, and l**ed regularly. It still spun freely on the kart. But the dyno doesn’t lie. The result?…
37hp and almost .50 ft/lb of torque loss on back to back tests within 3 minutes of each other!!! What would you pay for those sort of gains?

Some of the biggest gains to be found are the removal of losses from items you would maybe not be considering.
