Canterbury this past weekend.
Best way to describe the weekend would be good old fashion back luck!
369- Deegan started the weekend with 2 holeshots in his heats where he finished 3-4 for 2nd pick in the LCQ, with another holeshot in the LCQ he was able to to win and make it into the final as the #11 qualifier, In the final Deegan started 13th and was knocking on the door of the top 5 when a hard case over the finish line triple knocked him out of the race, Saturday was a new day and Deegan started strong with another holeshot and win in his first heat, and a 5th in heat 2, 1-5 somehow had him 5th pick in the LCQ where he took another holeshot and win, in Saturday’s final he was able to charge into the top 10 to finish 9th while banged up from Friday!
252-Ingebrigt started Friday with a massive holeshot in his first heat before he hit an edge and crashed really hard, in heat 2 he had another great start and was running 2nd place when a red flag incident took place, after the rider was safely removed from the track we were lined back up for a full restart, while pulling back up to the line Ingebrigt had a sensor go out causing the sled to not run correctly causing him to finish 5th, with 9th pick in the LCQ he was able to take 2nd then from the back row in the final he was able to get all the way up to 7th
Saturday Ingebrigt was fired up and qualified straight into the final with 4-3 in his heats, with 9th pick in the front row he pulled a massive holeshot from the far inside and ran 2nd for most of the final until another rider got into him entering the corner and caused him to flip, he got going again and was able to salvage a 9th in the few remaining laps…
46-Gustav started Friday with a great run in his first heat pushing from 6th up to 2nd in heat 1 and after working his way up into the top 3 in heat 2 another rider came off their sled in front of him causing the 2 sleds to get tangled, in the Final gustav was up into the top 10 when another rider crashed right in front of him causing a pileup which unfortunately collected him as well where he eventually got going after a few laps to finish 13th, Saturday he again made his way through the pack in heat 1 to take 2nd and was looking at another top 3 in heat 2 before another rider crashed directly in front of him knocking him back to last place, gustav again made his way into the final through the LCQ, in the final Gustav working his way from 14th to 5th or 6th before a big endo sent him over the bars, he got up and finished 13th
Overall everyone rode extremely well, we know the sleds running great and the guys have the speed to run up front!
Can’t thank our sponsors enough for all of their support this season! See everyone in Deadwood
